Is The Man With The Iron Fists Badass?

It is 4:30 am, and I just got home from screening The Man With The Iron Fists.

The Man With The Iron Fists is first time director RZA's homage to Shaw Brothers kung fu films. While I really loved it, the movie has one problem: The RZA stars in it. Don't misunderstand me, he does a fine job as the titular character, but the film is populated by so many more interesting (and spin-off worthy) characters that he comes across as an afterthought in his own movie.

The RZA simply does not have the presence to share the screen with Russell Crowe, Lucy Liu, Dave Bautista, or Gordon Liu.

When The Man With The Iron Fists is released on DVD, I will proudly display it on my shelf next to Kill Bill and The Forbidden Kingdom because it is pretty Badass.
